We are delighted to announce that Tradebe Healthcare in partnership with Chesterfield Royal Hospital have been shortlisted in the ‘Supplier of the Year’ category at the 2019 NHS Sustainability Awards.
Tradebe Healthcare together with Chesterfield Royal Hospital are dedicated to ensuring a compliant clinical waste management service that offers cost savings, value for money, whilst achieving zero waste to landfill and reduction in haulage and associated carbon footprint.
Chesterfield Royal Hospital’s most notable project was the introduction of an offensive waste compactor, which enabled an alternative ‘zero waste to landfill’ solution, as well as reducing clinical waste collections from five to two times per week. This project delivered significant CO2 savings. Another project maximised the use of the sharps management system, which also delivers a cost saving in the packaging of healthcare wastes.
The winner will be announced on the 16th May at this year’s NHS Sustainability Awards ceremony in Leeds.
